Helmet Liner Patterns

These patterns were given out at Big Stitch 6. They are not difficult, but they do require some skill since they must be made to gauge. They need to be made in wool and only in the suggested colors. Please let me know when you have any ready. I will get them to Major BJ Strickland and she will get them to our Ft. Campbell soldiers. Thank you!

Great day at Big Stitch 6!

Super crowd, educational seminars, exciting door prizes, great goody bags and a bountiful boutique; add to that the Project Linus group, who could ask for a better day? In case you weren't able to make it, here is the Big Stitch 7 brochure that was handed out in the goody bags. Hope to see you on July 17 at the next Stitch!

Big Stitch Seminars: Crochet Bobbles and Ripples

One of our most popular instructors, Michele McClellan is an avid crocheter and recently started knitting too! Her bobble class will be at 10:00 a.m. and her ripple class will be at 11:30 a.m.

Meet Big Stitch Instructor Erin McKee

Erin is from Middle Tennessee and returned home last summer after four years in Houston, TX for graduate school. "I started knitting right before my last exams in May, and I haven't stopped since. I always want to try new techniques and projects but am still totally intimidated by the idea of knitting a sweater!"

Erin will be teaching a seminar on short rows at 10:30 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. she will teach two patterns: condo and faggot.

Project Linus Blanket Day at The Big Stitch

We are excited to announce that members of the local chapter of Project Linus will be joining us at the Big Stitch next Saturday to have a blanket day. If you are not familiar with Project Linus, their mission is much like ours. Here is info about them taken from their website:

"Project Linus is a volunteer non-profit organization that gives blankets and quilts to seriously ill or traumatized children. Our Mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW HOMEMADE WASHABLE blankets and lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers. Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children."
